The Legend of Matariki

Long, long ago, there lived seven young men. They liked to go to the beach and swim. They walked to the beach every day. They made sandcastles in the sand.
One evening, they were walking to the beach. They were about to build a sandcastle, but it was time to go home. "Oh! They shouted".

They were going home when it was already a pitch black blowing night.They couldn't find their way home in all the flying fog. They were waiting for the flying fog to vanish. They were calling out, "YOU CAN'T PICK US UP!!!!!"
The moon was so angry that he picked up the seven young men and threw them up into the sky.Then they turned into seven little stars.    

Peter and Wiki

Peter and Wiki loved working in an indoor pool. They were best friends. They were living in a hotel. They liked going swimming in the indoor pool too. They also liked going shopping. Peter and Wiki only worked in the weekends.

One sunny Saturday morning, they could smell the odours of the pool. The pool was like slim shimmering water.They saw a man behind them. The person behind them was trying to walk soundlessly into the pool, but Peter and Wiki couldn't hear him. 

"Hello, can I swim in the pool?" he said.

Wiki and Peter didn't answer, so the person who wanted to jump into the slim shimmering pool pushed Peter and Wiki into the  pool.

They were about to drown when their Mum and Dad were calling, "Boys, where are you?" 

 They looked everywhere,but then they looked in the last pool.

 There they were!

"Come on, boys. Let's go back to the hotel," said Mum. "You can make yourselves a hot chocolate."

The Snake

Harry, the snake was gone.
Tom said, "Shhhh!" to the class. He found it again. He saw it marching towards the hole in the wall. He tried to catch it but it slid into the hole in the wall.
Miss Anderson was really angry.
Tom had an idea. He got some supplies from the classroom like Miss Anderson's lunch. He also got some paper, glue and wire, then he got the paper and glued it together, then he got the wire and tied it around the paper.
Finally Miss Anderson's lunch. The snake slowly slid across the green slimy soft rug. It took a bite then they put him back into the backpack.
"Don't bring a snake to school again," said Miss Anderson."

Well done, Caleb. You are having a go at using speech marks. Look at 'then' in your story - too many. Use words like, Next, After he got the paper, glue and wire, he glued the paper together. After it took a bite, they put it back in the backpack.

The Magic Show

There were two magic shows at our school.
First, this magic guy named Jonathan. He was funny. When he blew the balloon up, he swallowed it. We all cheered and clapped. 
My favourite part was when Jonathan swallowed the balloon.

After lunch, El Gregoe came. He talked about antibullying - a bully-free school. He did do a little bit of magic. 
At the end of the show, they did the floating man. My favourite part was the floating man.
